Partner

Madhuri (pronounced “Mah-dree”) is a partner in Blackman Kallick’s Wealth Transfer Services Group. She works with high-net-worth families, corporations, partnerships, expatriates, and inpatriates to accumulate, preserve, and transfer assets in a tax-efficient manner.

She applies her extensive tax expertise to her clients’ wealth management needs by:

  • Providing comprehensive tax planning to individuals, corporations, and flow-through entities
  • Administering estates, trusts, and family limited partnerships (FLPs), including representing executors and trustees in litigation and before the IRS
  • Advising philanthropically inclined individuals and families on the tax implications of their gifts and other charitable activities
  • Helping corporations, expatriates, and inpatriates navigate the complex income tax rules and regulations they face at home and abroad

With extensive experience in income, trust, and estate taxation, Madhuri has a full view of the wealth management puzzle. She understands how to put assets to their best uses, whether by establishing a private foundation or FLP, gifting shares of a company to the next generation, or another well-researched strategy.

She also grasps the psychological impact of giving away wealth. Using financial projections, Madhuri helps individuals and families make these difficult decisions by painting a picture of how assets will flow to beneficiaries and to the government under each estate planning option. Madhuri’s clients have come to expect this personal, attentive service, and they trust her to keep their best interests at heart.

Born in India and educated in the United States, Madhuri is fluent in English, Hindi, and several regional Indian languages. Tapping into this diverse background, she advises closely held companies on how to comply with U.S. and foreign tax rules regarding corporate and personal global income and investments, as well as the compensation and benefits of their employees both locally and overseas.
