Ira Zorn is an Audit Partner and specializes in private equity groups, venture capital firms, family offices, investment companies, and financial services companies. He provides a variety of assurance services including audits, reviews and compilations. Ira’s ability to understand the underlying issues of a firm's accounting systems, internal control structures, and financial needs allows him to offer tactical business consulting for a diverse range of closely-held entities. He also handles due diligence assignments related to the buying and selling of businesses by private equity groups, venture capital firms, and family offices. As a certified fraud examiner, Ira plays a major role in our forensic accounting efforts.

Ira has directed special risk management engagements for several of our family office clients. He has helped these clients improve their internal controls and safeguard the families’ assets and investments. 

Ira is currently directing outsourced internal audit services for a major not-for-profit, federated fund raising organization and its related social service agencies. Ira is a member of our firm’s Management Committee and serves as our chief financial officer. He has spent all but one year of his professional career at Blackman Kallick. From 1998-1999, Ira was the controller for Blinderman Construction Company, a Chicago-based general construction contractor firm.
