Alan S. Alport

Tax Partner
Alan Alport is a tax partner with Blackman Kallick and is the Partner in Charge of Tax Services. Alan serves domestic and international clients in the construction, manufacturing, leasing, banking, distribution and service industries. He specializes in individual and business tax planning, financial forecasts and projections. Alan also works with business owners and other individuals in the area of personal financial planning. He is a CPA and Certified Financial PlannerTM certificant and has earned the AICPA personal financial specialist (PFS) designation.
Alan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society (the Society). He is a past member of the AICPA's S Corporation and Individual Technical Resource Panel. He is also a member of the Society's Finance/Treasury Committee, the Consulting Services Executive Committee and past chairman of the Society's Personal Financial Planning Committee. In addition, Alan has served on numerous other committees and task forces. He has been both a designer and instructor of basic and intermediate taxation courses.
Alan received both his BS and MBA from Indiana University, and served as past President of the Kelly School of Business Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Alan has co-authored tax articles, such as "A Guide to Foreign Investment in U.S. Property," which appeared in the April 2009 issue Taxes—The Tax Magazine, "Proposed Research Tax Credit Software Regulations," which appeared in the May 2002 issue of The Internet Tax Advisor and "The Proposed Research Tax Credit Regulations," which appeared in the May 2002 issue of Corporate Business Taxation Monthly.
