FORUM Magazine publishes Hagestad's "Using a Balanced Scorecard to Manage Risk"

Jim Hagestad, an Audit Senior Manager in Blackman Kallick's Not-for-Profit Practice, and David A. Westman, CEO of Westman & Associates Consulting, co-authored "Using a Balanced Scorecard to Manage Risk" an article published in the October 2011 issue of FORUM. The magazine published nine times a year by the Association Forum of Chicagoland is an important resource for association professionals.

Jim and David's article details that boards of directors should extend their risk management efforts "beyond the financial prism and consider a 'balanced scorecard' of risks." The article presents the process of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) as a case study applicable to virtually any association to "identify key risks and opportunities so that limited resources can have the greatest impact."
