Spitulnik Becomes Head of Blackman Kallick’s Strategic Services
We are pleased to announce that as of August 23, 2010, David Spitulnik will become the Managing Director of Blackman Kallick’s Strategic Services Group.
The Strategic Services Group works closely with the owners and senior leadership teams of middle market companies to identify, assess and execute on growth opportunities.
More specifically, the group provides services including:
- business planning and execution
- development of governance systems
- leadership succession and transition planning
- executive coaching
Strategic Services represents another element of Blackman Kallick’s unique expertise in working with closely-held and family owned businesses.
David joined Blackman Kallick in early 2008 after a successful career at Motorola, where he held a variety of senior roles in strategy and business development. He holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management where he is a member of the Alumni Council. David serves on four advisory boards for Blackman Kallick Clients in addition to the other consulting services provided. Prior to Motorola, David worked for Centel Corporation, Booz Allen & Hamilton and Turner Construction Company.
David succeeds Barry Cain who is leaving Blackman Kallick to become Vice President of Planning and Development for Northbrook-based M. Holland Company, a leading North American plastic resin distributor and long-term Blackman Kallick client. While working with the Strategic Services group, M. Holland identified an opportunity for “transformative” growth and asked Barry to join them full time to realize the potential.
