C4 Miles is one of the very few such races for mental health in Chicagoland. Not only does the event raise money for patient services, but also raises awareness about mental illness, which affects one in four Americans every year.

Community Counseling Centers of Chicago, (C4) believes that people with mental or emotional disorders are able to live, work and thrive in their communities. Their treatment philosophy promotes and encourages teamwork, which enhances overall functioning, social skills and productivity. Treatment is viewed as a partnership. C4 clinical staff, and if possible a supportive network of family and friends, help people to heal in a safe environment filled with professionalism and skill, compassion and trust.
