Su to Speak on "International M&A Landscape: Inbound Investment" Panel at the Illinois CPA Society's Mergers and Acquisitions Conference

On September 14, 2009, Stella Su, Chair of Blackman Kallick's China Practice and Director of Corporate Finance Consulting, will take part in the "International M&A Landscape: Inbound Investment" panel discussion at the Illinois CPA Society's Mergers and Acquisitions Conference. Stella is also on the Illinois CPA Society's M&A Special Interest Group Committee and the M&A Conference Task Force.

The panel will discuss the following:

  • Evaluating the globalization of business and the rise of cross-border M&A
  • The U.S. as exporter of capital vs. importer of capital
  • Understanding the value drivers of a business and how a Chinese buyer values target companies in this economy
  • Knowing how things are done on the other side of the globe -- understanding foreign acquisitions
  • Learning how to work with inbound businesses -- help them settle into the new regulatory environment
  • Exploring examples of U.S.-China deals including historical and emerging trends, negotiating points and deal killers
