Oetter and Su Interviewed on Tengzhong and the Hummer Brand by Xinhuanet.com
Paul Oetter and Stella Su were interviewed recently by Xinhuanet.com about the challenges facing Tengzhong, the Chinese company that is reportedly purchasing the Hummer brand from General Motors. Paul and Stella discussed the cons of this proposed transaction, including concerns about U.S. perception of Chinese ownership, the buyers perceived lack of credentials and high gas prices in the US, as well as the pros, such as a distinctive brand and dealership network in the US and “in place” engineering and manufacturing.
