Stella Su chairs Blackman Kallick’s China Practice and is a Director in the firm’s Corporate Finance Consulting Group. The China Practice provides consulting, audit and tax services to Chinese companies investing in the United States as well as to American businesses with operations in China. The Corporate Finance Consulting Group assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, valuations, raising capital, financing, operational improvements and business planning.
Stella has executed M&A buy-side and sell-side transactions in many industries including manufacturing, automotive aftermarket, distribution, contracting and construction, insurance, metals, chemicals, printing, consumer products, retail and real estate. Stella also advises clients on raising capital and business valuations in industries such as software, financial services and health care.
Prior to joining Blackman Kallick, Stella was a senior associate at KPMG Corporate Finance, LLC, a broker-dealer investment banking practice, where she provided mergers and acquisitions, business valuation and capital-raising advisory services to middle market clients. Prior to working at KPMG, Stella was a senior capital/M&A analyst at CNA where she was responsible for business valuations in a variety of industries. Her valuation work included making recommendations to the board of directors on acquisitions and sales, assisting in the development of corporate strategies and providing advisory services to different strategic business units.
Education and Professional Certifications
Stella earned her Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago with concentrations in Finance and Economics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in International Finance from the People’s University of China.
Stella is a CPA and an ABV (accredited in business valuations by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and a chartered financial consultant (ChFC).

Stella serves on the Illinois CPA Society’s M&A Special Interest Group Committee.
Stella also has industry experience as controller of the Focus Group, a privately owned construction equipment manufacturing and service company.
