Audit Senior Manager 

Michelle Donehoo is a Senior Manager in Blackman Kallick’s Audit Services Group and a member of the firm’s SEC Practice. She serves as assistant to the Partner in Charge of Audit Services.

In her role as an audit Senior Manager, she:

• Provides audit services for both privately held and publicly traded companies, with a focus on real estate, service, manufacturing and distribution.
• Provides consultations to SEC registrants regarding their periodic reporting requirements, including annual reports on Form 10-K and quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, and other interim filings such as Form 8-K.
• Specializes in business combinations, revenue recognition, consolidations and equity transactions including stock options, as well as other complex audit and accounting issues.
• Manages and mentors senior level professionals of Blackman Kallick within the Audit department.

Clients and engagement teams appreciate Michelle’s knowledge of accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements, as well as her ability to quickly respond to complex questions with the proper accounting treatment and options available under the applicable financial reporting framework. She assists the SEC practice leader in keeping other members of the Audit Services teams up-to-date on SEC rules and regulations.

Michelle has more than fifteen years of public accounting experience, more than ten of which with Blackman Kallick. Prior to joining the firm, she was an auditor with another public accounting firm, where she was primarily devoted to SEC services.

Credentials, Articles and Awards

A CPA and member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society, Michelle received a BS in Accounting by Southern Illinois University. She stays up to date on changing SEC reporting requirements by attending conferences, including quarterly SEC seminars and the annual AICPA National Conference on SEC and PCAOB Developments.
