Keith Swenson leads Blackman Kallick’s Human Capital Consulting efforts as a member of our Consulting Services Group.
Keith works with clients to implement and drive talent management initiatives with the ultimate goal of increasing employee engagement and performance. His expertise includes:
- Designing attractive compensation and benefits plans, including incentive, executive and sales force compensation.
- Driving employee and management accountability through comprehensive performance management systems supported by competency frameworks, 360-degree feedback and blended learning initiatives.
- Improving employee engagement and performance through effective job design and role clarity.
Clients benefit from Keith’s twenty-plus years of experience in management and human capital consulting, which provide him with a deep understanding of organizational effectiveness and innovation.
Keith has served clients ranging from closely-held organizations to Fortune 500 corporations, in industries as diverse as food service, healthcare, financial services and education. This depth of experience makes Keith uniquely qualified to help HR and other corporate management ride the fine line between providing institutional cost savings while delivering motivational solutions. He believes that these two requirements can be – and should be – mutual goals of all concerned.
Before joining Blackman Kallick, Keith held leadership positions with regional and global consultancies, such as Deloitte and Mercer Human Resources Consulting, where he focused on leadership, organizational effectiveness, compensation and benefits, talent management, human capital strategy and HR department reorganization.
Professional Involvement
Keith is a member of the Society of Human Resource Professionals, the Human Resource Planning Society (now known as HR People & Strategy) and Human Resources Management Association of Chicago. After receiving a BS in Business and Journalism from the University of Minnesota, Keith participated in the Executive Education Program of the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Keith is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to human capital management and innovation.
