Senior Manager
Jill Elden Rorem, Senior Manager, Legal Search, oversees the successful recruitment of paralegals, associate attorneys and contract legal professionals as well as Blackman’s database of attorneys and other legal professionals. In addition to supervising staff, Jill also consults with her clients on strategic issues beyond recruitment. This consulting expertise is a value-add for our clients, allowing Jill to provide a comprehensive approach to legal recruitment.
Through her work at Blackman, Jill has quickly developed a reputation for client service and candidate development that far exceeds what is typically found at national staffing agencies. This mirrors Blackman’s reputation as a pre-eminent independent accounting and consulting firm, which is rated as a 2008 “Best of the Best” firms by INSIDE Public Accounting for the Great Lakes region.
Jill is a native Chicagoan and is happy to once again be working in the city she holds dear. Jill began her career as a labor and employment attorney for two smaller Chicago firms before relocating to Los Angeles to accept a position with a major entertainment industry talent agency. After a couple years’ exposure to the “show business” industry, she decided to move back to her Chicago roots and focus on a career in the legal staffing industry. She established a Chicago office for an East Coast-based legal search firm and then joined Blackman to spearhead the firm's associate and contract attorney practice areas. She not only rose to this challenge, but also established herself as one of Chicago's top legal recruiters.
Jill earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Iowa and her JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
