Brian Carter is a Senior Manager in Blackman Kallick’s Tax Practice and Vice Chairman of the Family Office Services Group. He specializes in providing tax consulting and compliance services to privately held real estate, manufacturing and service businesses and business owners. Brian works extensively with affluent families, family offices, high net worth individuals and corporate executives, providing comprehensive planning in all areas of tax including individual, flow-through and wealth transfer matters.

In addition to his public accounting experience, Brian has served as the controller at a private equity firm in Chicago as well as at a restaurant management company.

Brian is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, the Chicago Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association. He also currently serves as a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the American Technion Society and as a board member of the Young Leadership Division of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

Brian received his BS and MS in Accounting from the University of Kansas School of Business and completed his MS in Taxation at DePaul University.
