Amy is a Senior Manager in Blackman Kallick’s Forensic and Litigation Services Practice. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. She has over twenty five years experience as an auditor, accountant and consultant in Big Four (KPMG and Deloitte) and national accounting firms, and experience in a number of diverse industries, including insurance, manufacturing, distribution and construction.

Amy is experienced in the analysis of complex accounting transactions, financial statement audit, general fraud investigations and litigation support. She specializes in providing auditing, forensic accounting and other financial consultation to clients. She also leads Blackman Kallick's Intellectual Property & Licensing Contract Compliance Consulting

Representative Experience

  • Directed financial statement audits for both public and privately held entities.
  • Expertise in accounting research issues, including revenue recognition, goodwill and asset impairment, as well as international financial reporting standards.
  • Directed consulting engagements to evaluate the merits of accountant’s professional liability cases and assessed damages in such matters.
  • Evaluated internal controls, including SOX controls for publicly held clients.
  • Directed forensic investigation and restatement of financial statements for a publicly held waste hauling company.
  • Directed several large forensic investigations involving misappropriations of corporate assets, and those involving financial statement misstatements.
  • Directed class action securities fraud cases involving the interpretation of accounting principles and auditing standards (GAAP and GAAS), and prepared damage analyses. 
  • Directed engagement involving director and officer liability fraud cases with publicly held entities.
  • Directed a forensic litigation case involving off-shore tax fraud.
  • Directed on-site activities related to monitoring Kemper Insurance in its runoff status, on behalf of the Illinois Department of Insurance and a key contributor to saving Kemper more than $30 million as a result of our review process.
  • Directed projects involving acquisition due diligence and business valuations.
  • Directed intellectual property licensing engagements to ensure compliance with royalty payment terms.
