When we hire staff, we do not simply fill the requisite number of positions. We work hard to attract people with the ability to immediately increase the depth of understanding we bring to the industries and services that are our specialties.

It is not uncommon for even the newest employee to be asked to add his or her unique perspective to an issue or a project. Nor is it uncommon for a manager, who at many firms would be asked to remain silent during meetings, to offer a critical insight.

Our mission statement, “Make a difference to the success of our people and clients,” is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we created the Blackman Kallick Women’s Initiative: Strategies for Excellence (WISE) program.

The goal of WISE is to continue Blackman’s success by sustaining a culture that attracts, retains, develops and encourages the leadership of talented women.  

WISE strives to

• Provide targeted career development opportunities through its Career Advocacy Program;
• Improve the visibility of female leaders by highlighting their successes, and
• Develop and implement customized work/life integration strategies that focus on advancement and retention of women leaders.
