New Year's Resolutions—Ours and Yours
Happy New Year! Generally the new year is flourishing with innovative ideas, fresh business, new cases and new hires. While we hope that the majority of these things still ring true in the new year, we recognize that in this economy, things have shifted. Blackman Kallick's New Year's resolution is to shift with our clients.
We remain active players in the permanent placement industry. Our attorney and paralegal candidates are still the same degreed, credentialed and rigorously screened candidates who our clients have come to count on over the years. When the hiring freezes are lifted, the layoffs are few and far between and the job market opens up again-we're ready for you!
As part of our New Year's Resolution, we are vigorously working with our clients to come up with creative ways to get the work done in this economy. Even though there might now be fewer people in your firm to do the work, the work cannot necessarily wait. It just means that you might not need a full-time employee to handle the load. Blackman Kallick's contractors are available for more than just document review (though we have many excellent people for that purpose too)! This job market has yielded many attorneys and paralegals with skill sets far beyond that of document review who are looking for work and would appreciate project work until a permanent position opens up. Thus, should you need someone to handle a deposition, litigate a trademark case or work on a single merger-we have qualified temporary candidates available for you.
As we look forward to 2009, your New Year's resolution could include adopting an attitude of flexibility. Exercise a fresh perspective in order to thrive during challenging times, and you will most certainly have a happy and prosperous new year!
